Metalkol's Accredited Vocational Training Centre

In June 2025, our Metalkol operation received full accreditation and authorisation from the Ministry of Vocational Training and Trade of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) to operate its own onsite vocational training centre.

This official recognition enables us to deliver nationally certified training to our employees in the following areas:

  • Driving light vehicles and operating heavy machinery
  • Underground mine emergency intervention
  • Handling, transport and storage of explosives
  • Tracing and testing of mobile equipment
  • Fire prevention procedures and fire extinguishing system
  • Underground construction operations and maintenance
  • Energy insulation

The accreditation not only aligns with national standards but also paves the way for further collaboration with the Ministry of Vocational Training and Trade of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), allowing us to participate in, and contribute to government-led programmes that support national skills development.

RECRUITMENT PROCESS

Open vacancies are posted on the ERG Africa LinkedIn page. To explore current vacancies, please visit the page. If you are interested in applying for any of the positions, you can do so through LinkedIn or by sending your application to the email address(es) provided in the job advertisement.

In some instances, reputable sector recruitment agencies may be consulted to source employees for specific roles.

ERG Africa will never

Ask for money

If at any point during the application process you are asked for payment, rest assured that it's scam.

Send mails without using the official ERG Africa domain (ergafrica.com)

If you receive correspondence from a Gmail, Live.com or similar email address or are asked to contact someone who is using these free accounts, you can be certain it's not an ERG Africa representative.

Offer you a position you haven't applied for

If you suddenly receive a job offer for a role you never applied for, it's definitely a red flag. In terms of our official processes, CVs will be shortlisted and in-person interviews (where appropriate) will be conducted before a decision is made.

Ask for personal information or bank details before an offer letter is sent out

Only after the shortlisting and interview process is completed will an offer be made. It is only then that HR, via an official email address, will request necessary employee information.

Use outdated logos or make grammatical or punctuation errors

If documentation has unofficial/old company logos, is poorly formatted or is riddled with mistakes it is most likely fraudulent.

Guarantee placement or ask you to contact a mobile number

Due process is always followed when recruiting new talent. No positions are guaranteed or "sure things" and HR contact details will always contain an official ERG Africa email address, coupled with a legitimate office landline number.

If you are contacted, receive a suspicious mail or spot a dubious job post, do not engage any further or provide any personal info. Instead, save or screenshot the correspondence and contact us via re******************@*******ca.com.
